LED driver - a self-contained power supply is an electrical device which regulates the power to an LED or strings of LEDs and gives an output that matches to the electrical characteristics of the LED. It responds to the changing needs of the LED or LED circuit by providing a constant current to the LED even as its electrical properties change with temperature. Owing to its high efficiency, capability to withstand electric shock and compact design, our LED Drivers are acclaimed by our esteemed clients.

Efficiency

There are a lot of benefits of using highly efficient LED drivers. From saving energy to a driving force that gives us the amount of input power that can actually be used to power the LED, our drivers have an efficiency of over 80%.

Power Factor

The power factor is the ratio of the real power that is used to do work and the apparent power that is supplied to the circuit. The ideal power factor is 1 and our continuous efforts in achieving the ideal value has resulted in having the power factor greater than 0.90.

Reliability

Our LED drivers are highly reliable and reduce the need for inconvenient repairs and maintenance spend. This reliability is attained by using components with a high mean time between failure (MTBF) and very efficient thermal management of the driver.

Surge Protection

The LED drivers by CLS are designed to protect the LEDs from surges. The inbuilt protections, such as spike and reverse polarity protection, ensure the safe and efficient working of LEDs.
Salient features of CLS drivers include:

  • Constant output current
  • High power factor correction of > 0.90
  • Less input current THD of <10%
  • Very high efficiency of >80%
  • Adjustable output
  • Universal input range from 90VAC – 265VAC
  • Meets EMI/EMC standard

Dimming

CLS LED luminaires come with electronic drivers as a standard but a choice of DALI dimmable drivers is available to suit mood lighting, presence detection and daylight harvesting applications alike.
